Holiday Shopping Tips for Wheelchair Users

Holiday shopping can often times be difficult and exhausting. Because malls and various stores are usually crowded and hard to navigate our holiday shopping tips for wheelchair users may come in handy. The next time you venture out to a center for the purpose of shopping, try utilizing these helpful tips:

Find the Elevators

Depending on the mall you choose to go to, you may be surprised to find that it has elevators. In fact, you may wish to do a little research and find a mall or store that offers the use of elevators. Often times, you'll be pleasantly surprised to discover that mall do have elevators, which frequently go unused. Elevators can help you save time and energy.

Have a Shopping Plan

Because there are so many different stores to choose from, you may feel overwhelmed when first entering the mall. Therefore, you should have a list and a plan of where you want to go. If you have a list of different items you need to purchase and where they can be purchased at, you will discover that you can save time and avoid headaches. Also, if you happened to research the mall and the location of specific stores, you can plan what store to go to and in what order.

Dress Accordingly

During the holiday season, the weather outside will be cold. However, when you enter the mall and become surrounded by all of the other patrons, you will most likely become quite warm. Of course, you'll want to be bundle up when outside, but to stay comfortable when shopping, you will most likely want to wear something much lighter or thinner.
